It’s always important to prepare before a trip to Boracay and remember important things that you should bring to avoid unnecessary hassles and stress during your stay in the island.

List of things to remember and bring for your trip to Boracay Island:

Make a checklist of essential things you’ll be needing for your trip so you don’t forget anything important. The list may include your wallet/cash, credit cards/traveler’s check, itineraries, tickets, reservation confirmations

No need to bring a huge amount of money with you. There are several banks and tourist service centers along the main roads in Boracay.

Bring only light baggage since you’ll be transferring by boat to and from the island. Pack the essentials first. Boracay has a lot of shops where you can buy the additional things that you might need.

The general attire in Boracay is beach casual, so bring only light clothing. If you’re planning on a long stay in the island, there are a lot of clothing shops and stalls in the island. Don’t forget to bring your beach wear like swim suits or just shorts and a top.

Thongs / Flip flops / Rubber Slippers are the only footwear that most people will ever be needing in Boracay. If you are planning on hiking or biking, be sure to have comfortable walking shoes or well fitting sandals.

It is best to bring any emergency and maintenance medications with you. There are also many pharmacies and medical clinics in Boracay if you will ever need them.

Sunscreen / Sun block lotion is a must when going to Boracay. Hats, towels, sunglasses, and mosquito repellants can be purchased once in Boracay Island.

Boracay has several shops that offer photographic services and equipment so you’ll only have to be mindful about bringing extra batteries for your camera.

Make sure to enclose your electronic equipment in a waterproof case or plastic since your bags could get wet during the boat transfers.

It is best to bring everything that you think you’ll be needing for the trip but there’s no need to over pack since everything that most tourists will ever need is already available in the island.

But if you’re planning on spending less and sacrificing a bit of comfort better buy them beforehand and just bring them with you because prices of some items in Boracay is higher compared to most places in the Philippines.
